TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking recent experiences from others who have applied for a Thai visa at the Jakarta embassy, expressing hesitation about choosing among different countries for application. A commenter advises not to delay the decision, highlighting Jakarta and Taipei as user-friendly options for walk-in applications before the transition to an eVisa system.
you can be "stuck" in the country whose consulate you're using the eVisa system for IF you don't upload the correct documents, IF they have to ask for more documents, <- that pushes the processing time back AND there is no 'get the money back if you don't get approved' on eVisa, you pay and if it's denied you lose the money.
With walk up, they can ask for the documents they want, they can give back what they don't need, AND they won't even let you apply if you don't qualify (meaning you don't pay)
As far as "reply to many questions" you're asking for a FIVE YEAR visa, they might ask a few questions dontcha think?
