TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your stay in Thailand for another 60 days while on a tourist visa, you can apply for a 60-day extension based on being unable to travel due to COVID-19. You'll need to visit your local immigration office with specific documents such as your passport, a TM30 form, a letter from your embassy or an alternative printout specifying the situation, passport photos, and a fee of 1,900 THB. Keep in mind that requirements can vary between different immigration offices, so it's advisable to check with the office in Phuket.

You can apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters. NOTE THE "OR's"!

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

- Proof of a flight ticket out of Thailand

Can I ask your source please. This site says you don't need a letter from your country.

Nakom Pathom immigration office. They require one of the three documents before they are willing to issue the extension of stay.

Unable to fly due to covid gets you 60 days.

I do not think so but different immigration offices have different requirements. Have a search for posts about it. Many get this. Currently the last day to apply is 25th January but it MAY be extended.
