A Canadian friend just shared this notice that Canada will stop issuing income letters on 1 April. Fortunately he renewed his non-O visa just recently but will have to figure a new method for next year.

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of April 1, Canada will cease issuing income letters necessary for visa applications, impacting Canadians in Thailand. Those needing income verification must secure it before the deadline or adjust to new proof of funds methods, such as depositing money locally or using international transfers for income verification, especially important for renewing NON-O visas.

You Canadianz have until April 1 to get the income verification from the Canadian Embassy here (it's valid for SIX MONTHS from when it was issued)

After that to meet the proof of funds you're going to have to bank the money here OR use the monthly income method by international transfer like US, UK and Aussies had to switch to once their embassies stopped the affidavit of income notary
