TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining a DTV visa for Thailand, you are not required to enter the country immediately. There is a general understanding that you can enter at your convenience within the 5-year term of the visa. Specifically, once you have your visa, you typically must enter within a 60-minute window if you received a PFD e-visa, but other comments suggest flexibility with timeframes of several months. Additionally, the DTV visa is a multi-entry visa that allows each stay to last up to 180 days, with no minimum duration required for your first entry.
