This is on the opening page of the main immigration office website in thailand.
IF you are applying for ANY extension (from an entry stamp OR an extension) that expired from March 26th to Sept 26th the extension WILL be dated effective from the 27th of Sept.
DO NOT let an immigration officer tell you it starts from the date you apply it does not..

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post highlights a crucial update for expats in Thailand regarding visa extensions. It states that any extension applied for, whether from an entry stamp or an existing extension, that expired between March 26th and September 26th will have an effective date of September 27th, regardless of the date of application. The information is based on guidance from the main immigration office website and is vital for those navigating visa regulations in Thailand.
I spoke to the immigration officer but she said the effective date is based on the submission date even I showed her the notice.

that is a 60 day visit family extension and as you can see he was stamped in for 60 days starting on the 27th of Sept (that's why the expiration date is 25th Nov)
If I understand your post correctly, then sadly for me, Phuket immigration didnโt follow that guideline. And in so doing, denied me an extra two months...
My extension of stay was granted on 28 August (after being under consideration from 29 July) and was stamped with an extension of stay only until 29 July 21.
