You get 60 days now. No visa.

No issue just fly in. I am a Brit too. You don’t need to apply in advance. If you want 90 day then yes organise before you leave ( circa £150).

I go Pattaya until =42 days, no visa needed and I’m from U.K.

I’m from UK and Never been asked for proof of funds in 16 years of near monthly in/outs, possible you may need proof of onward travel after your stay expires,, however I’ve been asked that only twice during my travels and that was by the check in staff.

Simply fly into Thailand and you will be stamped in 60-day Visa Exempt. Make sure you have ฿20k cash, evidence of where your staying and a flight out within the 60 days.
