TLDR : Answer Summary
Currently, there are no COVID-19 requirements to enter the UK if you are fully vaccinated. You will need to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) within 48 hours prior to your arrival and show proof of vaccination, such as your NHS Covid Pass (Vaccination Certificate) during check-in. It's advisable to print these documents. Airline policies may vary regarding additional COVID testing, so check with your airline for specific requirements.
Oh yes you are of course right Mike I was fully vaccinated. If not its a different matter. And I had to show my NHS Covid Pass (Vaccination Certificate) printed on paper at check in as well as the PLF.

I came back on Friday. If you are fully vaccinated you just need to fill out a PLF (Passenger Locator Form) on the UK Gov web site within the 48 hours before arrival in the UK and print it off for check in. No tests needed before or after arrival. But DO Print out your PLF and Covid Pass (Vaccination Certificate) as they will want to see it at check in.
for pointing out my mistake. If not vaccinated the rules are different. I apologise for my error. You can check the curent requirements in UK on this link to the UK Govt website
I used Qatar Airways via Doha. Nothing is required to transit Doha. I don't know about the other airlines you would need to check the airlines website and what it says.
I know March 24th the legislation is supposed to end so hope they are all dropped before I go. Thanks for the info. So if I say go via Doha and am booked all the way through and just a transit passenger in Doha I only have to meet the UK regs
NO airlines require a covid test to enter the UK if you're fully vaxed(x2 shots). They all use the countries requirements to enter. Be aware that if you're transiting through a country on a non-through ticket you'll need to check the transit countries requirements.
