Anyone has a clear picture regarding non-B on amnesty in Thailand. What's likely to be compulsory for visa run when borders open? Head of local immigration said health insurance not compulsory for non-B. Quarantine for a border bounce seems daft, but if required, can't we self-isolate in our own house? Any of you read clear answers in your crystal balls? 🙄

The BORDERS ARE NOT OPEN. <- meaning you can't "bounce out and back" so until the government comes out with a directive of what amnesty holders do once it's over all you're doing is spinning your wheels wondering and talking to half wit immigration officers who have no idea what will happen and are just pulling answers out of their backside (as thaiz do when they don't know the answer)

There is nothing as yet to suggest that the borders will open at the end of the month. If that is the case, it may be that the Thai government extends the amnesty again, or possibly comes up with a whole new set of hoops for us to jump through. They've had a quiet period at Immigration and you know the old saying about 'idle hands' ;-)

 my recent visit to immigration I was told to change visa status to retirement I need to border bounce. I told her there are no flights and she said sorry nothing we can do. The Government need an announcement on this soon as the Amnesty runs out in 4 weeks. I have lived here 7 years.

 the government just locked down the entire economy forcing millions of people out of work and thousands of businesses into bankruptcy. i wouldn't recommend you to assume they wont inconvenience a few foreigners.

 one can only assume without any information from the Government up to now however all the foriegners living here bring money into the country so am sure that's a consideration.

 international tourism brings 2,000,000,000,000 baht to thailand every year. they don't seem to be in any rush to get that going again so don't get your hopes up based on that logic. very sad situation in so many ways.

 Same thought, but why there’s no pre announcement, stating approximate when the final announcement will made.. it’s not a easy thing to exit Thailand in 1-2 days, unless there is a visa run

My home country is open only to the capital city of the country, so I fly back to an stranger city and start a home there? Or live in a hotel until the Thailand border open back again, but with 14 days quarantine... 💰 💰 💰 I consider Thailand as my home but I feel left out.. 😞

 I am currently on a Multiple-O based on marriage, but have been under the amnesty for 3 weeks unable to do my border bounce. Yesterday I was told that I had to obtain a visa extension (marriage or retirement) before the 31st.

Forget about border bounce. For entry to Thailand, if you are eligible (extremely limited) you have to apply to Thai Embassy in your own country. Quarantine compulsory for everyone.
