Hi.

I'm crossing the border to laos on Thursday from thailand to vientiane. Does anyone knows until what time during the day we can cross?

Also anything I should have with me they might ask for on either side?

The border at Nong Khai is open 6AM to 10PM but I think the last bus across friendship bridge is at about 9-9:30.

This is a thai visa advice group, not a Lao one 😛

BUT (with that being said 😉 )

It now appears that most people don't need to buy a visa on arrival to get in to Lao anymore. They just opened up free entry for 169 countries I believe
