Has anyone else had issues booking the Luma insurance from Tune?

I have tried making the purchase through their website a bunch of times now and it wouldn't go through.

Called my bank and they are trying to charge me $5430 instead of 5430 baht!

AXA was my original choice but they just jacked up their price by more than 3000 baht

Is there other options that I'm missing?

Warning. Covid19 Thai Insurance.

Today it's official there are no insurers will cover the quarantine if you tested positive covid asymptomatic. It must need the medical necessary only.

AXA, LUMA and ACS will not cover the quarantine.

Every single time. Now tried with cards from 2 different Thai banks, one Canada card, tried processing all cards from Thailand and all cards from Canada.

The only response from Tune is a link that shows their payment methods. Paypal is listed but is not an option when you have to pay. I asked them how to pay with paypal, they just send the same link again....

Just tried to pay for the Luma/Tune for the 10th time, this time with my wife's Bangkok Bank Master Card, and payment was still unsuccessful!

Im losing my mind with this nonsense!!

 My bank told me the amount they attempted to charge the card was CAD$5430. The price of the policy in baht is 5430.

Instead of converting it to the correct amount in CAD the payment gateway they use has just changed the Baht to dollars and kept the same number.

My bank said there is nothing blocked but the attempted charge was just more than the daily limit for card purchases.

How did you end up paying for it?

 Last time I entered Thailand I just used the govt insurance portal for Covid insurance..but it only covers Covid-related medical expenses, not any other conditions. If that's all you need, it just takes a few minutes to process.

 I've never seen that. I don't know if that is actually a government portal though. Usually, official Thai government websites are not using ".com".

Also, they only have 30 day packages available? I need 90

Each 30 day period is more than 3000 baht so even if I could renew it, their price would be even higher than AXA

 It's a .org site, not .com. If it's 3,000 per month it's definitely changed from before. The govt had insurance companies organize to offer special, Covid only insurance policies back around Oct 2020, and this is it, precisely to fulfill the entrance requirements. Hopefully you'll find something to suit your needs from your various options ☺️

 Government websites don't use .org either...

The first link is .org and as soon as you click the button to purchase insurance it sends you to another website at tipinsure .com

🤷

It says "insurance must cover your entire period of stay" and then only offers 30 days

 It's a group of insurance companies directed by the government to pool together to offer this insurance so foreigners could meet the Govt entrance requirements, thus the .org. There were plenty of news articles announcing it when it started. I bought 3 months worth before, so I have no idea about the 30 day max.

 I know when I was paying for ins in Dec my bank told me it was Visa that were blocking the payment because it was to a foreign company.

Weve been through this. I have been using her and purchased through her for my STV visa last year.

She doesn't have any solution. Only thing she said was to buy the more expensive one from AXA.

I have been. Her solution was to purchase the 3000 baht more expensive AXA.

She quoted me 5510 baht for AXA. 6 days later I went through her link to make the purchase and they were charging me 9240 baht...

 I used that same link already 2 times in the past year and never had a problem. And if there was a problem you would not be the only one complaining... So it is most likely a problem with your bank.

Try doing through Mr Prakan instead. Maybe even a little cheaper although theyll only be open Monday-Friday Thai office hours so you'll have to wait until tomorrow
