Can anyone recommend an agent that I can open a Thai bank account with my new DTV visa? I’m based in hua hin, but can go to BKK or pattaya to get this done

Not gonna happen new regulations the 17th even agents will not try to do it for you

The government has cracked down

Look at agents Facebook pages they say not happening

Anyone saying they can is probably just gonna rob you and say whoops we tried

I recommend you try it yourself where you are first. Go to immigration and get a residence certificate (you will probably also need a TM30 for this) then visit a few banks and ask them.

try a bank near you ask what paperwork they require. If you have a Thai friend take them with you.

l understand the question but it's about opening a bank account. Why go straight to an agent try yourself first. I never had an issue opening a bank account just gave them the correct paperwork took about an hour. I wouldn't pay an agent when it ain't that hard

I can tell you ain't tried to open a bank account on a DTV 😛

it's like pushing a rope, and hundreds (maybe thousands) of people on DTV's can't get accounts open
