Hello. US passport holder here. Is it possible to get the 60-day extension for visiting family if the family I'm visiting is my foreign child who is enrolled in Thai school? I currently hold a multi-entry non-o visa based on her being on an Ed-visa and going to school here. Thank you for your time ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder inquires about obtaining a 60-day extension on their Non-O visa for visiting their foreign child who is enrolled in a Thai school. Responses clarify that such an extension is not available for foreigners with foreign children, as it is designated for visiting Thai family only. Alternatives include seeking a year-long extension under specific financial conditions or requesting a short extension due to travel limitations.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
All you can do is request the embassy letter from your consulate because of inability to travel due to covid-19 and see if your immigration office will issue the 30 day extension..
I have a few weeks so I'm going to wait and see what happens. Thanks for your reply ๐

Nope, that extension is NOT available for foreigners with foreign children here it is to visit thai family only. There is no option for you to get an extension other than a year extension based on the "support foreign child enrolled in school" that requires the 500K baht in the bank for a month in your name only.
That year-multi-Non-O is designed for you to bounce out and in, you have to find a way to exit/re-enter..
