For UNVACCINATED traveller as of May 1st: They ask to upload negative PCR-result on Thai pass. How would this be possible when I register for the Thai pass and I'm flying in 3 weeks? I would only do the PCR-test within 72h before departure 🤷🏽♂️

TLDR : Answer Summary
Unvaccinated travelers to Thailand need to upload a negative PCR test result when applying for a Thailand Pass. The issue arises because the PCR test must be conducted within 72 hours before departure, but application for the Thailand Pass cannot be completed until the result is available. Travelers are advised that the process is designed to discourage unvaccinated entry. The ideal approach noted includes taking two PCR tests—one for initial approval and a second one within the 72-hour time frame.
, the airlines usually go by what the destination says. Most destinations jyst require proof of vaccination. If the passenger does not have that, then proof of negative test is usually required.
yes but I don't think there's any airlines left that have a blanket airline policy requiring Covid tests. It's only if destination or transit requires it, and the number of locations is dropping fast

You cannot register until you have your PCR results.
It's not meant to be easy for the unvaccinated. They don't actually want you to travel to Thailand. The only guaranteed way to enter is with 5 day quarantine.
Otherwise you get your PCR test, apply for Thailand Pass, and hope it gets approved in time for your flight.
Step *****
Just a frustrated that got double and booster shots for nothing since the shots don’t prevent catching and spreading the virus .
fact. With knowing that, there are still (vaccinated)people out there that can't wait to get the next "booster" 🤦♂️ Me not being vaccinated and after all those "new Covid variants" in the last 2 years...I should've been dead by now
in not easy becouse is just a new law.. Need time to understand How to behave but if you have a negative test you can fly to Thailand.. I think soon will be clear
some unvaccinated have already been approved. The law is clear. It's just difficult to get a test and then the results and then apply for Thailand Pass all within 72 hours.
exactly. I already had contact with the Thai embassy. They confirmed you first need to get the negative PCR result and then register for the Thailand Pass. Which is ridiculous
thank you for your reply and amazing advise. But I was not asking for an opinion about unvaccinated travellers. So I first take the test and then register for the Thai pass? It doesn't make any sense, but okay... How long does it take to get the Thai pass after registration?
it has been up to 7 days but now a lot less info is required to check so in theory it should be a much quicker turnaround. There'll probably be some hiccups today as it's just launched but should ease up over next few days
the website says 24-48 hours, but we won't know how long it actually takes until the system is fully up and running. We'll probably have accurate timing in a week or so.
