My O/A retirement visa expired yesterday so I flew to Phnom Penn and returned today to DMK Airport armed with loads of back-up paperwork Flight booking out of Thailand Covid 19 VAX certificate and 20,000 baht in cash.
I was greeted by an extremely polite I.O. Officer who asked to see absolutely NOTHING.
She stamped my passport with a 45 day exempt and said welcome back Mr. Malcolm.
Thanks to the group for the help and advice on this subject especially Todd and James βππ»ππ»

So you exited the country on an OA visa stamp and you re-entered on a visa exempt? Ahh I see you were just getting off the OA to go to the in country O visa/extension.
Not that many people are hassled at all doing that bounce out and back. The immigration officers at passport control know good and well the new insurance on OA/OX is 3 million baht (100USD) up from what it was. They have seen many people do the same thing to get off an OA and go to standard O visa/extension without the insurance π
