Hi any one on this forum can advise.. I lived in Bangkok for 20 years plus had a company and work permit ..I started drawing my Thai government pension two years ago but now I'm in the UK it stopped last month the reason being I have to show "proof of life" I've tried the embassy in London with no success anyone got any ideas of how I can show "proof of life" without having to fly back to Thailand at the moment as I'm planning that next year..any sound and solid advice will be much appreciated..

First, the Thai government pension is the SSO pension? That is only a max of 3,000 Baht a month.

Secondly, most countries allow pensions to be paid only to persons staying in the country, not abroad. So then there is no need to show a proof of life.

that's not what the SSO ts me ..they said while I am alive and send proof of life then it's paid into a Thai bank account.. I've even in the UK for almost a year and they paid it into my Thai bank account every month .. but I have to prove proof of life at the end if every October ..

Get a notarized copy of your current passport with an affidavit

Go to any local solicitor in UK who is a notary public. They normally charge a tiny sum of money - which goes toward the tea and coffee that week in their kitchen!

thanks but I've tried every avenue with the Royal Thai embassy in London.. extremely unhelpful if you even can contact by phone or email: mail .. its not in there criteria to give us this advice

social security office. I presume the pension you are referring to is a SSO one. When you lived in Thailand you are registered at a specific SSO and you need to contact that office to ask.

send a picture , or a vidéo of yourself with the newspaper of the day problem you are in 2022 . maybe they require you are alive in 2566 . can't help for that .

to show proof of life to get your pension is quite common in different countries . I myself have to sign a document and send it by post .
