Hi all, read the following for O Visa "Incase of Income, provide a 12-month bank statement showing a regular monthly deposit of 65,000 Thai Baht into a Thai bank account and a certified bank letter by your Embassy in Thailand". How can you provide proof of 12mobtgs deposit in Thai bank if you've just arrived?

A work around would be to get a Non O (3 months) and open a bank account and then apply for an Ed-Visa (12 months). This will give you 15 months to transfer 65k baht pm into your account. Once your Ed visa expires, you can apply for a visa based on retirement and use that 15 months proof of funds, for your application.

Yes because the 65k are minimum funds that immigration deem are needed to demonstrate you can sustain a lifestyle while retired in Thailand.

Do not miss a months transfer or you’ll be back to square one and have to start the 12 month process again.

Yes, you can study Thai as a second language or Muay Thai if you’re into fitness on an Ed Visa. Do not think you can enrol and not turn up, you MUST attend the classes scheduled or immigration will revoke the visa.

You can't if you just arrived. That is why there is also showing bt800,000 in your Thai bank account that was deposited from an overseas source.

You can't. For the initial Non-O inside Thailand (if you plan getting that) you need to transfer in 800k from overseas and then you can also use that for the first annual extension. Use that time to build up your monthly transfers. Unless of course ones embassy provides an income affidavit (UK doesn't)
