Hello, I am looking for a gym where I can get a one-year ED visa through Muay Thai.
Is there anyone in this group who has experience obtaining one in Bangkok?
I am looking for a place near Sathorn or Silom. If anyone knows, please let me know๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about obtaining a one-year ED visa for Muay Thai training in Bangkok, specifically near Sathorn or Silom. Comments suggest alternatives like the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), which allows up to 180 days per visit with extensions, and recommend established gyms such as Fitfac Muaythai that meet the necessary visa requirements. Key advice includes ensuring the school is recognized by the Thai government to facilitate the visa application process.
The new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) allows you to stay for up to 180 days per visit, with extensions available. To qualify through Muay Thai activities, attend a recognized and reputable school acknowledged by the Thai government, like Fitfac Muaythai. Fitfac is ideal for beginners and provides proof of participation, minimizing issues with visa documentation. Their support team is also helpful when dealing with Thai consular services.
By combining your stay with Muay Thai training, you can enjoy a unique cultural experience and meet visa requirements. Ensure you choose a school registered with the Department of Education to minimize the risk of a rejected visa. Learn more about Fitfac at www.fitfacmuaythai.com and email them about the DTV visa at

Cheaper for you to do the DTV and less trips to immigration

That will be Very expensive as you will have to pay for 12 months of lessons upfront at a gym you could potentially not like, if i was you i would look at the DTV visa option
do your own research but my friend booked a 2 day cooking course and got the DTV visa. 3000 baht for the course and you can stay in Thailand for 5 years.
