Hey! I want to learn thai and have enrolled in a short intro course online. Iβve realized that studying Thai can also get me a Visa so Iβm interested in how that would work. Iβm in Phuket and expect to stay here.
Edit: The question was an open one for how you study Thai and get a visa since that can be done. You assume I want lazy visa?? I want to study in a school. Stop with the prejudice
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the possibility of obtaining a visa while studying Thai in Phuket. The original poster has enrolled in an online course but seeks information on how to secure a visa through attending a language school. Comments provide insights that only accredited language schools can issue visas and share experiences related to the application process, highlighting that one must have a valid stay prior to applying for the education visa.
I am on Visa application process, expect to receive it in the min of March. You Just find a language school and pay for the courses, most of language schools will help the process which takes around 3 weeks for education bureau approval, then another 2-3 weeks for immigration stamp. Means you need at least have 1-2 months valid stay to change your tourist visa to ED visa. From my experience.
See? You throw the schoolyard names but it's my comment that gets flagged. Listen, um, Marcus, is it? I'm in Thai Mueang. Just north of Phuket. Why don't you come visit and you can call me names to my face? The address is

Thanon Chai Thalay. It's right on the beach. You can't miss it. Oh! And this week is the annual Turtle Festival. You should really come and visit. I'm sure you'd be happier insulting me to my face.
