I contacted the airline, in this case Vietjet Air, to request an explanation as to why they denied me a boarding pass. Their response stated that I was denied due to being blacklisted by Thailand immigration, but they did not provide any proof. Of course I am dissatisfied with their response because, as I mentioned earlier, a reliable source informed me that I am not blacklisted.
Do you know where can I obtain official confirmation that I am not blacklisted by Thai Immigration? I have already sent an email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), but I have not received a reply.
If I have the confirmation, Vietjet is done!
Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat reported being denied a boarding pass by Vietjet Air, who stated it was due to being blacklisted by Thai immigration without proof. The individual has contacted the immigration office but has not received confirmation, wants to obtain an official letter asserting they are not blacklisted to challenge Vietjet's decision. The conversation includes others sharing their experiences with airlines and immigration, discussing potential legal recourses, and the challenges faced in confirming or disputing blacklisting.
If you are sure you are not the blacklist, you need to have the lawyer send the letter to the immigration office and asked them to issue one letter to you saying that you are not the one who is on the black list one of my clients got the same had someone similar name and have the black list, we did the letter for them

Dont point finger at the carrier. To me its clear that Immigration doesn’t put much effort in to this. And that’s not a surprise. It’s a struggle to be recognised by them, even if you do everything right. It’s sad because the foreigners are the turist industry.

Try Turkish Airlines ,the best airlines

You won't get any answer from vietjet airlines. Best you can do it expose the airline as you have done so that others won't fly them. You are fortunate that many other airlines fly to Bangkok.

Lol Vietjet are done! They went by information supplied to them by immigration so not their error. They would be more likely to be done if they did let u board and ignored the flag from immigration. Your issue is with immigration not Vietjet
so what should u do if you are innocent, your record in Immigration is clean and the airline keeps telling u that your are not without providing any evidence? They can do that to anyone.
Do you really expect airline to pay for immigration error?
And immigration isn't going to give you the money.
So no refund. This is type of situation one had travel insurance for. If you chose not to have travel insurance, then you need to cop it on the chin and move on with life

Sure there are many people with same name. But do they have the same Birthday, M/F and facial photo? The mind boggles.

Wow. I always carry my last expired PP. Just in case.
Wouldn't stop me trying to get a refund from the airline. Who cares if you piss that airline off anyway? You'd never try and use it again after this experience. You can't let everyone drive over you in life.
Yup. I was "on a list" for SEVERAL years on Air Canada. I arrived legally, but the agent tried to prove I needed a visa and couldn't enter. I knew I was right, I let him know I knew I was right and he was wrong (That was my downfall). After a few hours, he HAD to begrudgingly let me in.
But EVERY flight into the country after that for several years, I was "sent to the other room". I even put the hour wasted in there into my travel/transfer timings over the years. After about 2 years, Canada immigration officers would ask me why I was on the list. I kept saying I have no idea. What does YOUR FILE on me say? They would say there is no details. I would ask "can you remove me?" They would always say no.
Then one day I met my saviour. The female Immigration officer says "I can't tell why you are on the list" I said "I have no idea either". She hits a few keys "ok, there. You are off the list". I thanked her, and told her I had been trying to get off the list for years. She said she was a high ranking supervisor, and could do it.
Hope it work's out for you soon. Sounds like a lot of aggravation . I feel for you

The airline should be called VietShit and should be the last option ever...

Is there anything you have done that my have you blacklisted ? If for example you have never been to Thailand before, I would try making a cashback if you purchased your ticket with a credit card. Your credit card should guarantee you receive the product you are paying for. If the airline or immigration make a mistake it not your problem.
So if you paid with a credit card I would contact them and ask for your money back.

This happened to me Monday 3rd July at checking counter. If yours is mistake bcuz u having similar name with a blacklisted person. You should find a lawyer in Thailand to fix that.
and you don't know that you have been blacklisted at all ? I guess Thailand is the last country that will be forced to explain anything to anyone. I don't know where you'd start. Do you know if they have your biometrics and facial imprint ? When did you last leave Thailand ? Biometrics only slowly rolled out starting 2020-2021.
since august 2019 I left. But my name has been save in blacklist system. I checked before applying for the visa. They said my blacklist is finished. So I applied n got my tourist visa. But I was denied boarding. No fingerprints or facial imprint was taken when I left Thailand
if you are determined to come, you'll have to fly to neighbouring country and come in by land check point. And you'll need to carry all the evidence of your blacklisting. It does take a while for blacklisting to be updated ....

air line dont care about blacklisted . i was once stopped and asked to go into Custom office after landed in Thai .( system Blocked me ) as i traveled in out too often. after showing some proof as wife a Thai . i was let in .
that's not a black list, a black list is something very specific that you are banned, for a specific reason (like long overstay). What you describe is just the regular immigration officer discretion on travel to Thailand too much.
the airline sends the passenger list to immigration in advance so when you check in you get a "board" or "do not board" from Thai immigration.
If you overstayed by 1 or 2 days only and paid the fine at the airport on departure you wouldn't have been blacklisted, that takes overstay of 90 days unless you are caught.

I’ve never heard of any airline having access to that information at check in maybe I’m wrong
3rd july at checking counter. As soon as they type my name. There was a red note at the bottom of they’re screen: security clearance:
Do not allow Mr… on board. They send my visa copy, passport copy n pic of that red note and send it to the airline representative at suvarnabumi airport. They went and check with immigration to understand why I shouldn’t be allow on board. The immigration said I’m blacklisted.
it's called Advanced Passenger Processing Service and that's how it works, the passenger list is sent to immigration in advance by the airline and then if blacklisted they get denied at check in before they get on the plane.
this is the process for people who have committed crimes that certain countries don’t allow them to visit ( crimes against women/children/ rape and so on) so Im guessing you’re correct

Good for you... Was it an international flight or a domestic flight? Asking because i want to know if it applies to domestic flight also. (checking the visa of foreigner.)
my friend was flagged in a domestic flight... he went to immigration and was cleared. . It means that either the check in attendant or the immigration black list was the mistake.
i want to be sure if my understanding is same as yours... there are cases now where the foreigner is already in thailand and when he travelled by domestic flight he was not allowed because he was on the list from immigration. And he has to clear it up in the immigration. Such is the plight of foreigners here. Its a headache.
that can only be if you are in overstay or if you committed a crime, like in any other country, not to be allowed on a domestic flight unless you have criminal charges doesn’t happen
