TLDR : Answer Summary
Australians receiving Centrelink payments, such as the Age Pension or Disability Support Pension, must navigate strict rules when living overseas. Payments typically stop immediately upon passing through border security unless specific criteria are met. For the Age Pension, it may be payable overseas if the individual lived in Australia for at least two continuous years before applying and has worked there for a significant duration. Additionally, recipients can travel for up to six months per financial year but must notify Centrelink in advance. Other factors, such as rental assistance, may vary the rules.
Age pension . Thomas Cool man is correct. I get $1030 per fortnight. Disability. 30 days per year travel overseas before it gets cut off. If you return to Oz. Let Centrelink know you are back and you get the supplement and other small benefit for 60 days after you leave the country. You do have to notify them when you are leaving.

If you, as an Australian citizen, lived in Australia for 2 years continuously at the time of application and spent 40 years working there it is payable overseas, less some minor benefits

Just link after link, leading to page after page, all with no actual answers about what's possible and how, which is why I asked the question here, hoping to find someone who's doing it

Payments get stopped the minute you get through border security at an airport in Australia. They advise Centrelink immediately.
