Good morning everyone! I have arrived to Thailand on 6th of February on a visa exemption and today went to immigration office in Chiangmai to do 90 days report. I have prepared everything, but both volunteers checked all my docs and said ‘ no need to do 90 days report for a tourist visa’. What should I do now ? I don’t want to be fined 2,000 next time I will go to immigration and rely on their word. An officer came as well( in brown) and confirmed it too. I am confused now. They told me only a long term visa holder need it. Is it true or they just made it up? 😂 Thank you for any feedback.

Go by what you immigration office tells you SOME are having people do 90 day reporting (after they've had their second 60 day covid extension) but most are not. It's totally up to the office you use. ASK them.

I came to Bangkok on 6th of March on TR visa, two days ago i went to Immigration Bureau to extend 30 days and havent been asked for TM30. If i apply for covid extension later on, I am pretty sure they would ask for.

As nice as what goes on in Bangkok, it does not apply to Chiang Mai. Different immigration offices have different policies

If Chiang Mai is telling you that you don't need to do the 90 day reports, then you don't need to do the 90 day reports :)

Different immigration offices have different policies when it comes to doing the 90 day reports. Some want it if you're in Thailand longer then 90 days, and some want it if you're in Thailand on an extension of stay (or visa) that lets you stay longer then 90 days.
