Do I need to show bank statements to apply for a Non-O visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet as a parent of a Thai child?

𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗻 𝗢. 😮 where was that said?

Vientiane and Savannakhet will issue 90 day single entry Non-O's based on being the father of a thai child.

AFAIK neither require any proof of funds to get that visa issued.

Remember Vientiane requires you book an appointment or you won't get in the gate,

There was a report of someone who took their child and the thai mother to the Savannakhet consulate when they applied for the Non-O based on being the father of a thai child and he was able to get a year/multi-Non-O <- dunno if it'd work for you but you're out nothing by trying other than you'd have to lug your child and their mother to Savannakhet.
