I did 2 border runs (Laos & Malaysia). The immigration told me I have to fly out to get access to Thailand again. I read now that there is a 60 days visa on arrival. Some experienced this? Or do I have to go to the immigration (not sure where to fly to yet) to apply for the 60 days? If so, how long approx does it take time?ππΌ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about the possibility of obtaining a 60-day visa on arrival for Thailand after being advised by immigration to fly out. The responses clarify that there is currently no 60-day visa on arrival, but options for entry without a visa by flying in still exist. Recommendations are made to secure the appropriate visa prior to travel to avoid complications in the future.
that may work until he gets the wrong immigration officer, better chance if he has an actual visa.

Tourist Visa applications take different times based on the Embassy/Consulate that serves the country you will be applying from. Check their website for timescales and requirements then start here to see if you can use the eVisa system.

There is no 60 days on arrival. It's a proposal and no one knows of or when it will come into effect.
a tourist visa will give you 60 days when you arrive and you can apply one time for a 30 day extension. You would need to go to a Thai embassy or consulate and apply in person. Check the website of the one you want to go to as they each set their own requirements and some require an appointment.
