TLDR : Answer Summary
The family inquires about traveling to Thailand under the Sandbox programme for 31 days, specifically asking about visa requirements, transiting through Bangkok to Phuket, and options for driving to Krabi. Responses indicate that visitors from certain countries may qualify for a 30-day visa exemption, and while there may be concerns about overstaying, it is generally recommended to adjust travel dates to fit within this exemption. Additionally, there are no flights to Krabi mentioned, and travel by a SHA certified driver is possible.
okay, so now i understandā¦ā¦ in the thI embassy in Denmark?

What they are saying above is just come in for 30 days. Amend you timeframe to 30 days- that way you can get the Visa Exemption, on arrival, for 30 days.
that is a little tricky. If you can change your flight for one day without charge would probably be the best option. Then come in on the visa exemption for 30 days. Overstaying by one day is not a huge problem (we all make date errors, despite what people say on this forum) but it might affect your CoE application if you have 31 days booked but plan to come in on a 30 day Visa Exemption.

1 )You get visa exempt from certain countries for 30 days. Extra 1 day could be overstay fine of 500 baht per person but doubtful they would do that.
2) Not sure at moment and after November first rules will change.
3,) There is no flights its 2 to 3 hour drive depending what part of provinces you are going from
ok new rules are starting to come out which should be implemented Nov 1st, hold off on booking anything more until next week. Looks like no more COE but a new system Thailand pass
1: They would, so itās not recommended. And itās never a good idea to be listed with a overstay, no matter if itās only for one day
And most likely the airline will not let you on the plane if you donāt have a valid VISA if you gonna stay longer then 30 days, or a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days
its also well known that at swampy airport they give you a 1 day leeway with overstay, which you can use to your advantage to avoid long queues and just walk up to overstay desk.
Very highly unlikely many people arrive with return flights later than 30 days after arrival, just read through the posts I do. If they really want they can get a visa extension for 30 days at any immigration office.
I have been turned away from flights because of no return ticket when coming in on visa extension but never heard of anyone being refused a flight in the circumstances you describe.
I gave the information as correct the poster can decide to do with it as they wish, they could alter there flight to 30 days, but as i am sure other people will comment 1 day overstay at airport action is rarely taken. There was a post the other day and three people who had left with 1 day overstay all reported no action taken
Okay, we leave it there because you and me, we will never look at this in the same way.
Wish you a great day!

Peter Forsgren. There are two angles to look at this. I agree that no-one should advise overstay irrespective of the length of time. However, you can weigh up the options. Traipsing out to the immigration office, spending 200-400 baht in fares, paying 1900 baht for the extension versus paying (possibly) 500 baht fine (depending on the mood of the immigration officer) and getting a notation in your passport. It's not a big red stamp, it's a small notation. A one day overstay will not affect any future visits to Thailand. So it's weighing up the pros and cons. Due to altered flight times it's happened to me twice (over ten years), both times I was not fined, but I always stress that one person's experience is not to be taken as the norm. On one occasion I could not attend immigration to effect an extension as it was a Sunday, so I went Monday. Again, a notation in the passport and no fine. Let me emphasise I agree with you to avoid if at all possible, but it's not the end of the world. Certainly more than one day I would definitely avoid.
