TLDR : Answer Summary
If someone overstays their visa by one day in Thailand, they can fly with any airline to their hometown without issues. Before leaving, they will need to pay a fine of 500 THB at immigration. The airline chosen for the flight does not affect the overstay penalty, which is only applicable when exiting the country.
Thanks but I was thinking on coming back without a visa (I am allowed 30-day visa free). Do they deny entry if you have overstayed, even for a day?

you can exit Thailand, pay the fine....and apply for another visa and enter again...no worries... :)

Any issue re-entering Thailand on a visa exemption if we leave after a one-day overstay? I miscalculated the dates for my visa run...

One day grace period but you still get a stamp in your passport

I heard they allow you 1 day!

Why no fine for 1day? Pretty sure they do fine you for 1day.

i guess any airline has nothing to do with your visa...When you're exitingThailand you need to pass an immigration officer and of course he/she will find out you had overstayed....just relax and take it easy...Pay the fine....that's it....and you're done.

I won't be, not with one day overstay. They will ask you to pay 500 THB and ask you not to do it again.
