Hi to all. I am asking for a friend. He wants to come into the country with an exemp visa. He is from European Union. Would he be able to alter his visa to a non emmigrant visa such as a volunteer or a student visa inside the country? Also would he have right to apply to an extenaion due to covid? Thank you.

Probably not; he'll have to contact a volunteer organization.

Yes he can. However, he will be expected to study full time. He can either get a degree from a university, or study Thai language for a year.

No, the last day the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is being sold is May 29. I am not going to guess if they will extend this extension of not.
