Hello !

I obtained a non B (stamp) in December. However I didn't get the work permit yet since I decided to leave the school in a few weeks.

The stamp on my passport is valid until March 2022. 

My question is, can I wait until march to apply for a covid extension or should I apply right now?

Some conditions here, make your own decision...

- As mentioned above, most immigration offices allow you to apply for an extension when you have 30days or less with your current stamp

- In most cases, your first Covid extension starts the day you apply

- Under the current program, the last day you can apply for a Covid extension is 25 Jan

You got a new in-country Non-B in December. it would be the same as I mentioned. You are applying for an extension for a different reason from your current one.

We wouldn't assume those things that are unknown or unannounced information.

I forgot to mention I was on a covid extension visa before then moved to a non B. Assuming they will extend again the covid extension program, I’m hoping to go back to that when my non B expires in March.
