Can I submit my 90-day report by mail after my extension of stay in Thailand?

Question about my 90-day report. I am on a year-long extension of stay of a non-O dependent visa (based on my husband's non-O volunteer visa, also extended at the same time). Our extension of stay (as well as our first 90-day report) was done in Ubon Ratchathani on July 2, so our next 90-day report is due at the end of September...which is right when I will be in Bangkok having a baby. 

Given the unpredictable nature of when babies decide to be born, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that we won't be in Ubon within the time frame of reporting to our local immigration office. 

Am I correct in my understanding that since we did our extension of stay in person that now we can do this next 90-day report by mail? If so, seems like we don't have a problem since we can just mail the paperwork from BKK to Ubon. If this is not correct, what are our options?

Maybe not a really nice suggestion.

Where are you staying in Bangkok?

If you are in BKK for a certain period at a certain place, maybe you can do the same thing with moving into Bangkok properly. Then you can do 90days report in Bangkok, and move into Ubon when you are ready to back. I'm sorry I'm not aware the all process though.

Of course, you had better seek advice from your local IO first.

There is also a 3 week window of opportunity to do the 90-day report (2 weeks prior to 1 week after).

Also, the reports do not need to be done in person. A significant other can take the forms and passports in to do the report.

Well both my husband and I will be in BKK starting at 36 weeks in case the baby comes early. And who knows when it will actually come so we may be there a while, meaning we will almost certainly miss the 2-week-before-1-week-after window. So that’s why we are trying to figure out how we can do this report if neither of us are in Ubon.

If that immigration office accepts reports by mail then you should be ok. If they accept online reporting then that would be even easier. If they don't do either then you could either tell the baby that you've got an important appointment with the Thai government and that they need to be a bit more considerate about their birthday, or not do the report and just pay the fine for late reporting when you get back. You never know, seeing as you have a reasonable excuse, they might let you off the fine, especially if you bring the new arrival with you when you get back to Ubon ;)

I’ve tried to tell this baby a lot of things already but it doesn’t seem to be listening 🙄 I think Ubon does accept reports by mail, but I was of the understanding you had to report in person the first time. So I’m just making sure that “the first time” was when we did our extensions on July 2 and so we would now be able to mail it in?
