Hello All. I have a question on leaving Thailand and re-entering on a 1 year marriage extension. I arrive old here with my Thai wife in early Nov from Canada my home country on Nov. 4 on a Single entry Non-O Visa based on marriage to a Thai. I started the process on arrival to extend to 1 year based on Marriage and lastly went to Udon Immigration on March 3.  I told the IO we were returning to Canada at the end of March 2022 and asked the IO if I could use this extension to return to Thailand in Oct 2022.  I paid 1,000 baht for the attached stamp. Does this mean I can come back to Thailand with only my passport and no other visa required? Do I need to go to Thai Immigration  on Canada before boarding my plane?  Do I need to get Thai covid insurance on return (I have it now until.end of May 2022)? Thanks

Yes, I understand things can and will change. I guess I was just wondering if my existing $50,000 insurance which expires at the end of May would have to be renewed as if I'd never left Thailand.

You asked this in another group this morning right? The answers there were correct, you don’t need to do anything else. This is the re-entry permit, its all you need. You can just return and you will be stamped in for the remainder of your extension. Insurance depends on the entry requirements at the time. Things change quickly. As it stands you will need insurance yes.
