If in Pattaya, you can not apply for extension, at Jomtien, until 7 days before current entry runs out.

You can't do anything at the airport.

If you want an extension you'll need to go to the local immigration office to where you're staying and where your lodging has filed a TM30 for you.

Most offices allow you to apply when you have 30 days or less left, but Jomtien and Koh Samui only allow you to apply during your last week.
