Hello,

I would like to ask for your advice.

I entered Thailand on 18th of March on Multi-Entry Tourist Visa and I was stamped in for 60 days. However, I haven’t extended it because of the visa amnesty that we were granted.

Now, if the visa amnesty is over, do I still have the chance to extend it for 30 days as I would have if there hadn’t been any visa amnesty?

Can I possibly just clarify if is possible even if your multi entry visa has expired? Our 60 days expired 29 April and Visa expired in May.

it has nothing to do with the VISA in your passport. The visa only allows you to ASK to get in, and it's the entry stamp that lets you stay here (the blue rectangular stamp you got when you entered)

You were here on a 60 day entry stamp from a tourist visa and that entry stamp (the thing that lets you stay IN the country) expired on the 29 of April and you went onto amnesty after that

So you can go apply for the 30 day extension anytime BEFORE this amnesty runs out.

Hi mr.tod how bout us we also come here last march and get 30days stamp them get amnesty coz of covid .. R we allowed still to have 30days visa if we apply for it?

yes, you can still get a 30 day extension of stay based on being a tourist at your local immigration office. I suggest waiting until closer to the end of the month though

If you entered on the 60 day entry stamp from a tourist visa AND you didn't get the regular 30 day extension you're allowed and instead went right onto amnesty you CAN go get that 30 day extension and they will date it from the date you apply for it.

I would go the last week of amnesty and apply. DON'T wait until the last day.

AND remember if you're in Bangkok you go to the alternate immigration office at Muang Thong Thani
