I have this dependency visa as the father of a Thai child. Went to Chonburi immigration and they said it canโt be extended.
Iโm going to go changwattana tomorrow.
Previously Iโve been able to extend for 60 days.
Any ideas?

they most definitely are gonna want the child, (and the mother) with you when you apply out there AND they're gonna want a TM30 filed showing you stay in Bangkok.
Worst case you get denied a 60 day family extension and you go to Savannakhet and get another single entry 90 day Non-O based on having a thai child.

It appears by this comment "๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐๐น๐ ๐โ๐๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐." that the O/P was just trying to get a 60 day visit thai family extension NOT a one year extension based on supporting a thai child as I can't see where they asked about a year extension at all ๐ .
That would be this info

they MIGHT be able to apply for a 60 day covid extension but that is at the discretion of the immigration office.
