Probably a question that has been asked many times.

I will be arriving in Feb, flying in and using the 30 day visa.

In trying to calculate my arrival and anticipated departure gives me 35-38 days.

Can I get another 30 day extension, and if so what do I need and how much will it cost.

You'll need a TM.7, STM.2, Acknowledgement of fines for. A Passport photo, copy of bio page, copy of your visa stamp page, and possibly a copy of your TM.30 receipt (best to take it just in case and your hotel will provide that one)

You can print, fill in the forms before you come, just leave the date blank and fill in the date when you go to immigration. Personally though, I would suggest applying for the 60 day TR visa from your local Thai embassy.

When going to Thailand for 31 - 60 ( 90 )days, the 60 days touristvisa is the best option.

It is cheaper than visaexcempt + 30 days extension.

No need of a onward ticket ( 90 days 1 onward ), if returnticket within 60 days.

It is easier to apply from the comfort of your home.

Not wasting holiday time to find, go to and waiting at a immigration office ( 90 you would need that ).

No need to leave Thailand in up to 90 days.

You have enough time to apply for a 60 day visa in your country of residence, it's cheaper and you don't lose a day sitting in an immigration office.

Okay I understand I got my terminology wrong.

I will be coming in on a 30 day entry, not Visa. Thanks everybody for correcting me and the advice you have provided.

There is no 30day visa for Thailand there is a 60 day tourist visa which you apply for in your own ciuntry prior to departure if not you will enter the kingdom on a 30 day visa exempt if your a passport holder of a country that is part of that alliance with thailand you can extend that once only by addional 30 days at thia immigration for 1900baht but you will need to provide the appropriate paperwork to receive the visa exempt extension of stay chohk di

When you fly in without a visa, you don't have a visa. You can get 30 days entry, exempt of a visa. That can be extended by 30 days. Airline may want to see some sort of proof you'll exit Thailand by 30 days.

Unlikely that you will be using a 30 day visa but unsure where you are from. However if you come on a 30 day visa exempt stamp then yes you can extend this for 30 more days at local immigration office

 there's a paper form you fill out at immigration, you need a passport photo and photocopies of passport ID page and visa exempt stamp page. Also possibly a copy of TM30 report (done by hotel you're staying at, ask them for a copy). Normally there's a photocopy shop and photo place near immigration.
