I am just finalising health insurance for my stay and whilst I wait for this policy to be activated can I enter on the DTV with comprehensive travel insurance? Is it likely they will ask for proof of travel / health insurance upon entering?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You are unlikely to be asked for proof of health or travel insurance upon entering Thailand with a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa). While some users recommend having comprehensive travel insurance due to potential high medical costs in Thailand, there is no official requirement for insurance for this visa category, according to various comments in the community.
Unlikely to be checked, but as others have said, it’s always better to have good insurance in Thailand. Accidents can happen quickly, and hospitals will ensure they charge you heavily. They are very thorough in checking that you have the right coverage before providing treatment, due to past instances of abuse.

Thanks Anonymous participant 573 AXA policy active in the next 24 hours if all goes well!
You better take travel insurance to Thailand because I didn’t have it when I end up in the ICU and they almost pulled the plug on me. You don’t have a right to healthcare there.
