Can I Convert My Amnesty Situation to an ED Visa for Muay Thai or Language School?

I am currently in Bangkok on amnesty. My tourist visa (METV) stamp expired May 18th. I've read a bit about visa conversion to ED education visas, but I believe that requires I have days left on my stamp. Is there any possibility of using an ED visa in my situation to stay in Thailand beyond July 31st? I don't want to enroll in a university, I'd prefer to do a Muay Thai ED visa or language school.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot convert an amnesty stamp to an ED visa for Muay Thai or language school; this conversion is typically only available for universities. You will need to leave Thailand and re-enter to apply for such visas.

No. The only places that convert an amnesty stamp to an ED visa is universities. For Muay Thai or to study Thai you will need to leave Thailand and return.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Looks like I'll have to wait this out in another country and hope Thailand opens up in 2020.
