TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is in Koh Lanta with an under consideration stamp from MTT and wants to know if they can finalize it in Krabi or if they must return to Bangkok. Commenters suggest that this process usually requires going back to the office where the original application was made, in this case, MTT. However, one user advises checking with the Krabi immigration office first, as they might provide guidance without the need to return to Bangkok.
A gurl who was down south and applied for a 30 day embassy extension on the amnesty cycle from April 30 to July 31st. She had an under consideration stamp during that time and never did anything about it seeing as the amnesty was extended.
BUT
During the mean time she moved to Chiang Rai and when she took her embassy letter to that immigration office to get a new 30 day embassy request extension on the most recent amnesty cycle she was denied AND told to go back to Surat Thani to "close the loop" on the "open" under consideration stamp :O
Now, as far as how will they handle it NOW on the amnesty cycle that ran from Aug 1st to Sept 26th it's anyone's guess.
I'd say you're out nothing by going to the Krabi immigration office this next week and asking them BEFORE you slog all the way back up here to Bangkok.. I mean the worst they can say is "go to bangkok" ;)
Just wanted to clarify why I said you go to where you got the stamp was all :)
