TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about applying for the one-year extension of their Non-O visa, which is based on marriage to a Thai citizen, one month before its expiration. A comment confirms that it is generally acceptable to apply for the extension when 30 days or less remain on the current visa, noting that some offices like those in Chiang Mai and Bangkok may allow applications with 45 days or less.

Shouldn't be an issue at most offices you can apply for a new extension based on marriage when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp.

(Chiang Mai, Bangkok and a few others are 45 days or less left on your stamp).

remember you'll get a 30 day under consideration stamp when you apply for the marriage extension (bangkok is 21 days) and if you need to exit during that time you need to buy a new re-entry permit good only for that 30 days AND you have to be back before that stamp runs out so you can go to the immigration office and get the year inked in
