Hi Team - when applying for a Non O visa prior to entering Thailand for the marriage extension, is it necessary to do this in your home country or can it be applied for in a neighboring country? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-O visa for a marriage extension, you can typically do so at any Thai consulate in your region, including neighboring countries. However, eligibility may depend on your passport.

No, but you need to check which requirements are needed. it differs at countries. Savannakhet in Laos or HCMC in Vietnam are the most visited as they issue the 1 year long visa without financial requirements,
