Currently on an ED visa expiring on Feb 9th 2022, I recently got a job offer but the company told me that I needed to go back to my country (FR) to apply for my Non-B visa.
Is there anyway around to get the non-B within the country?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a Non-B visa while holding an ED visa, which expires soon. Comments revealed that applying for a Non-B visa from within Thailand is generally not possible if required by the employer, due to regulations that prevent conversion from an ED visa to a Non-B visa while in the country. It was suggested to consider applying from a neighboring country instead.
have you asked your local Thai immigration office?
Most likely you will have to get a Non B for business in your home country or maybe in Cambodia....but NO guarantee they will issue a Non B for business.
haven’t yet ! Will do when I will go to CW cancel my non-ED… 😞

I'm afraid you don't have the way to apply for Non-B in-country if your employer says you need to go back to your country, because for two reasons.
- You cannot apply for Non-B initial in-country visa when you are on a Non-ED visa or extension based on studying starting from Non-ED
- Your employer needs to meet the requirements for you to apply in-country Non-B. Because there are more requirements they need to meet when let you apply for in-country Non-B than when you apply for Non-B at Royal Thai Embassy/ Consulate outside Thailand.
If you can find a nearer country you can enter and apply for Non-B, you might not have to travel all the way back to Europe.
