TLDR : Answer Summary
A USA military veteran with 100% disability is seeking to obtain the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand. Community responses suggest that enrolling in a course (such as Muay Thai or cooking) and showing sufficient funds (500,000 THB) can help in securing the visa. Some emphasize that VA income alone may not be recognized as remote income for visa purposes, with mixed experiences reported from different embassies.
I’m a disabled vet also. Just sign up for a 6 month course. Muay Thai or cooking and have the 500k in your account. That’s how I got approved in Manila. You could submit your VA compensation letter for extra proof of income tho but not needed

def sign up for a course where they have successfully helped people get the visa. va income doesn’t count as remote income; we were denied for that and our rental property income. that was NY embassy though. not sure of every embassy’s rules
well I think everyone understands what it means. He has to apply like everyone according to the criteria of everyone. So freelance or soft power. Being veteran is not relevant.
ask the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you are going to Apply for the DTV visa. The sponsorship letter is unclear... relationship to the applicant? I have not seen any application for the DTV visa approved with the sponsorship letter.
