Hello. I came in on a visa exempt and extended it for 30 days. It's about to expire soon. Is there any restriction on flying out in the morning and flying back in the evening for another visa exempt entry. I have a British passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around a British passport holder who has extended their visa exempt entry and is considering a same-day exit and re-entry to obtain another visa exempt stamp. Community comments suggest that while this is technically legal, it may raise suspicion and lead to questioning by immigration officials. Commenters advise preparing the necessary documentation, such as proof of funds and onward travel, to facilitate re-entry. Additionally, there are suggestions to consider land border crossings for visa runs as a potentially safer alternative.
while it is technically legal to do that I think in this day and age you're going to get pulled aside and questioned on why you just flew out and back to get a new 30 day visa exempt entry.
I would certainly have the 3-proof-ofz when flying back in just in case you're asked for them
Proof of 20K baht or the equivalent in CASH
Proof of onward travel in 30-60 days
Proof of a hotel booking or confirmed lodging.
No one can tell you with 100% accuracy IF you'll skate right in or be questioned, all you can do is be prepared.
I agree with other posters IF you don't have TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land this year, bounce out and back at a land border with a visa run company to get you a new 30 day visa exempt entry.

Out of curiosity was this your first time coming in on a visa exempt and were you asked for an exit / return flight and to show 20k cash?

Neil Skeldon it's the luck of the draw. Some are asked others not.
Best be prepared...
especially if one has a recent history of multiple entries into Thailand.
And those who are living and working in Thailand without a valid work permit.

If you're going to do a visa run and get an exemption stamp it's probably better to go to one of the land borders with a visa company. Flying in with no visa is a bit of a risk these days.
No problem. You have "unlimited" entries by air, and two entries by land. The definition of "unlimited" is whatever the immigration officer thinks it is, so don't expect to live here on those visa exampt

and I think they may be exceptionally suspicious if you don't stay overnight abroad
