Just submitted my visa application at Vientiane today.

Can anyone advise if the passports are handed out in numerical order?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the procedure for passport collection after submitting a visa application at the Thai visa processing office in Vientiane, specifically asking if they are distributed in numerical order. A commenter responded indicating that passports are typically handed out based on the queue number, suggesting that arriving the next day would be advisable.

show up tomorrow afternoon and they usually hand 'em out in the order based on your queue number

Many thanks.

It can get quite stressful with all the stories you hear. I’ve living in Thailand nearly 7 years but I’ve spent nearly 50% of that time working offshore.

This is the 2nd time where I’ve had a longer stay and although it’s not as long as the previous ‘long stay’, I was a little concerned.

Appreciate all the advice. Great group. Keep it up 😉

as long as you don't have TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land since Jan 1st you can get in that way IF you're denied.

For last 18 months I’ve been 28 days in 28 days out on waivers.

Due to employment circumstances I had to extend my waiver for 30 days and then come here to Laos for 60 TV.

I’d be surprised if i’m denied but as Tod mentioned in a previous post, a back up plan is handy.

Than you can still enter twice by landborders using the Visa Exempt Entry.

not once Robert

No, that depends on how many times you entered Thailand without a visa by land borders this calendar year.

Can I ask a question?

‘If’ my visa is denied, I can still enter Thailand at Friendship Bridge on a 30 day waiver?
