Why did you not get 30 day extension at immigration office in Thailand after 60 days, giving you 90 days.

Then go to Vietnam and return on Visa Exempt for 30 days, and extend for another 30 days giving you 150 days.

That's what I intend to do, on my next trip.

Can you recommend the hotel where you stayed in Hanoi ?

I think it is more authentic written in Thai by hand, I don't know what it says but it is acceptable.

Just get your wife or her family member to write a letter of invitation in Thai, and email it to you with her ID card attached.

You can then keep this in your files for future visits.

As I understand after October 1st 45 days on entry, and before expiry 30 day extension normally 1900 baht at local immigration office.

The advantage of coming with a single entry visa for 60 days, is that also can be extended 30 days giving you 90 days.

The exit and return ticket for Vietnam should suffice, it's the original UK return ticket when I return for the visa exempt stamp they may want to see.

Mine will exceed 45 days, for final return date to the UK

Did immigration want to see any boarding or return tickets as well as your passport when you arrived back from Vietnam.

I am going to do the same before my 90 days are up, I will extend original return ticket to UK by 60 days.

This will exceed the 45 days I will get on visa exemption , but I intend to get an additional 30 days extension.

I am just concerned if they pick the difference up, in the number of days.
