I've just came back from Cambodia a few weeks ago, with half a page remaining and had no problems. I asked the officer to put the stamp on a page in the middle of my passport that some space left and he did it no problem.
As Tod said: you can go to the immigration office at Chaengwattana and get a certificate of residency from them for 200 baht and they will mail it to you in a couple weeks.
The bangkok immigration office will NOT issue certificates of residence to anyone who doesn't do 90 day reports.
Ya, I know I'm fine but I think Ron is introducing a lot of confusion for anybody else that may read this post/ comments. His information is relevant but very unclear.
But you are still talking about registering a car? Do the DLT in Chonburi want foreigners residency certificates to get a driving licence if they already have a WP?
Thanks Tod.. Ya, I have all of the required docs. My IDP will expires on May 1st and I'll be out of the country just after Songkran until the middle of may, but my original licence is still in date so that I can wait until I get back.
- Not directly related to the OP but why can't people change to a non-b at Chaengwattana, can you only get it at Chaengwattana if you live in that area?
