• Smooth experience with test

• Hotel a bit dated

Overall it was a smooth experience at the hotel but the hotel was not as nice as it looked in the pictures on the internet.

• Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

Had a good 24 hours there for test and go. Staff were great and helpful. Meals were okay. The room had everything you needed.

When I identified myself at the airport, I had to wait a while, before I got escorted to a Van for transport to the hotel. This I expected. However, I was a little bit too late for first group to be tested, so I was told to appear in the Lobby again at 19:30 (4 hours after I arrived)! When I did, I was told the result would be in about midnight (i think the hotel advertise about midnight-1 am). I called just after midnight and was told the result would not be in before 7 or 8 am next day!!! So I had to wait 16 hours for the result! Not acceptable. One more negative issue, which is not a big deal for everyone, the hotel is as far as you can get in to Sukhumvit soi 2, which means it is actually very remote despite being downtown. The staff was very polite.

Not a bad place to stay, I booked a large room with a balcony, can cross into soi 4 for 7/11 and all the food and nightlife nana has to offer , Nice staff, very helpful and friendly, Would book this hotel again next time I’m in the area 👍👍👍

Lohas has excellent customer service. Right from the airport all the way to my room, I’ve always had staff to guide me in the right direction, help with suitcases and accommodate to any of my asks. The suite is spacious and has plenty of room for a single person or couple. The location is terrific as I’m in downtown Bangkok but sheltered away from the noise of the city. Highly recommended!

• The room was huge and well appointed. The kitchen was fully equipped and spotless, and the bathroom worked perfectly. The bed was excellent, and the aircon worked well. As far as the room was concerned, everything was far beyond my expectations. The food was Thai fare: delicious and in sufficiently large portions, and delivered promptly for each of the three meals I had at the hotel. The covid arrangements were on-time and efficiently undertaken. No problem. The airport pickup was also good and I spent very little time waiting for the car.

• The internet was very weak - good enough for basic social media, but I had to cancel all my work meetings because the connection was far too poor. Calling reception was a fail - I eventually tried calling them from an outside line because I thought maybe the internal line was faulty, but that, too, wasn't answered. On checkout I realized the reason was that there was a single staff member apparently running all the whole operation, and she therefore simply ignored the phones.

Despite the two flaws I highly recommend this accommodation - if only for all that space and the convenience of the kitchen.

Overall I am very happy. I stayed here for 10 days AQ. Staff were very helpful and polite. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Hotel in a good location only a short walk to Nana Plaza via back of the hotel. I would stay here again.

• RT-PCR taken on hotel premises so it's very convenient
• RT PCR result was given on the same day (around 10pm) when we arrived in the afternoon
• The airport transfer was hassle free and quick
• Wifi was fast
• Bed was huge and soft
• Room had TWO a/c units so the room was always in a comfortable temperature
• Food provided was surprisingly delicious and also a lot of free water was available

• Room and some furniture show a bit of age but not a huge deal as everything is clean

Would definitely recommend this hotel for the 1 day Test&Go quarantine or even a longer quarantine. The price for two people for the smallest room they have is great value as it includes the RT-PCR, meals and airport transfer and we had no issues upon arriving from airport to check out

They offer quick RT PCR test for 3000 bhat worth it as you get the results in 2 hours which was very efficient wonder why they do not offer it in airport itself

• Feel safe and secure in times when there is fear and panic. Perfect location for Test & Go, an oasis of calm and serene in the heart of Bangkok city.

I came back to Bangkok on March 6 and had booked for my Test & Go with Lohas Residences, from the airport representative who welcomed me to the van that was organised for my transfer, it was smooth, easy and well planned. On arrival at the hotel, my luggage was taken in to the lobby and I was given a pair of shoe covers. Even before I entered the lobby, my RT-PCR sample was done. That was at 18:40 hrs. After a quick check-in, was given my room key and luggage was sent to the room along with the packed dinner. The room was spotless clean, the amenities were more than adequate, a microwave and the kettle was all that I wanted. Gave the comfort of a home than a hotel. Contactact-less breakfast delivery at 7 am. At 8:00 AM i enquired if my report was ready and it indeed was. Tested negative and was out in 20 minutes. Lohas has perfected the art of service with a smile and perfection. Thank you Team Lohas.

• Aircon was a bit noisy but I already counted with that and I always carry earplugs when traveling.

• The kitchen had a good sized fridge and a microwave to reheat food. Necessary as food was left on a small table outside the room.
• Plenty of rubbish bags were supplied.
• Plenty of shampoo and shower gel
• Decent metal cutlery and ceramic plates ( for 2 people)
• Instant coffee, tea, sugar and creamer was replenished on request very quickly. In fact a quick response for any request for service.
• Room telephone which I used to communicate with lobby reception.
• The balcony was large enough and had a table and 2 chairs
• The food was excellent and plentiful. Several choices each meal each day., I ate Thai meals except for a few breakfasts
• The lobby reception staff were very helpful, especially Tess.
• The transfer, just me, was quick.

• Room was in an older wing reserved I think for AQ guests.
• The room had been stripped of all ornamentation, not even a picture was left. I guess for ease of deep cleaning.
• The view was uninspiring, 3rd floor. Higher floor would have been better.
• The cups for tea, coffee were very small. Mugs would have been better in my opinion.
• The only glasses were the ones in the bathroom but that was ok. Probably I I'd asked I'd have got more.
• No bottle opener in room but the lovely Tess produced a nice quality one on request.
• The rooftop pool area was quite small and not really inviting. The pool was closed off anyway.

I had as pleasant a stay as could be expected for this compulsory quarantining. I would definitely stay at Lohas again whether quarantining or as a normal guest.

I do think the current 5 day test & go is a bit daft. A test before you depart, a test on arrival and if negative you can leave but must have another accredited test again on day 5. I opted to stay at Lohas for the entire period and hardly went out as I was too concerned that any contact might lead to a day 5 positive test. I don't blame the hotel, but the whole business of entering Thailand currently is very very expensive, the paperwork time consuming to obtain for which allow plenty of time. No pass code, you can't go. There is a real risk, perhaps small, of testing positive and perhaps being hospitalised. There are different stories on that and on whether the compulsory insurance actually pays. I was returning to my Thai home and family after 18 months. I certainly wouldn't do it just for a holiday whether in Bangkok or Phuket until these rules are done away with.
