hi guys

im on a retirement visa oa wife on 3 mth visa finishing 6th aug .

have been told need to do a visa run leave on the 5th aug to either singapore or malaysia and ask for a 12 mth non o visa for her attaching it to my retirement visa.

they said that they will either approve it or give 6 mths or 3 mths.

other option being just go for a 6 mth mulitble entry tourist visa .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently holding a retirement visa and their spouse is on a 3-month visa expiring on August 6. They seek clarification on whether a visa run to Singapore or Malaysia is necessary to apply for a 12-month NON-O visa for their wife, which could be linked to the user's retirement visa. They also inquire about the alternative of obtaining a 6-month multiple entry tourist visa, and ask for recommendations on the best place for the visa run.
